Introduction to Songtone
Fungicide
The damage caused by oomycete on crops is severe and recurring every season. Its ability to infect a wide range of crops, transmit rapidly between hosts, and develop resistance to fungicides makes it a big challenge for farmers. Finding solution to this problem is crucial.
Sunjoy Agro recommends using Songtone (Cyazofamid 6%+ Copper Oxychloride 72% WG) to prevent and control resistant oomycete diseases at an early stage of the disease. The product can fully cover the plant leaves and maintain the protective effect for a long time with its super adhesion technology.
Songtone demonstrates powerful effects from inside out. Cyazofamid can bind to the inner membrane of the mitochondria of pathogenic fungi and hinder electron transfer, thus interfering with the energy supply of pathogenic fungi. Copper Oxychloride has multi-site function and protective ability. The released copper ions act on the -SH, -N2H, -COOH, -OH, and other groups in the proteins of fungi, bacteria, or viruses. Copper ions penetrate the pathogen cells and denature and coagulate the proteins.

1. Prevent and control resistant diseases
Songtone combines two active ingredients to combat crop diseases. Copper Oxychloride is effective against all pathogens including fungi and bacteria, while Cyazofamid is different from the existing energy metabolism fungicides, making it difficult to develop cross-resistance. The fungicide is highly effective against pathogenic fungi (oomycetes) throughout the growth period, and the advantage is more obvious for bacteria and fungi mixed disease, such as cucumber downy mildew (combined angular spot and target spot), pepper leaf rot (combined blight, bacterial angular spot, and white star disease), and tomato late blight (combined canker and bacterial spot).
2. Super strong adhesion
Sontone can fully cover the crop leaves and maintain the protective effect for a long time. Copper Oxychloride forms a dense protective layer on the crop surface, and the pathogens are separated by the physical barriers. Cyazofamid forms a protective film after binding with the crop surface and uses its permeability to enter the middle layer to isolate pathogens.
3、Better solubility, safer to use
Sunjoy Agro has a low-temperature Dry Flowable production workshop. Its production process adopts a two-step dehydration polymerization granulation technology, which keeps the drying temperature within 50 °C, ensuring that the structure of the active ingredient will not be damaged by high temperatures. Therefore, Songtone has good dispersibility, near-neutral PH value, and good mixability. Moreover, with small particle size, the formulation is easy to distribute evenly on the crop surface after spraying, forming a dense film that is more resistant to rain erosion.

Performance Results
1.1 Test purpose
Grape downy mildew usually occurs during the rainy spring and summer. It can cause harm to the growth and development of grapes, seriously affecting the quality and yield of the fruit. It mainly damages the leaves and can harm inflorescences, flower buds, fruits, and new shoots, causing early leaf fall and premature aging, and affecting tree vigor and nutrient storage. The purpose of this study is to verify the control effect of Sontone (Cyazofamid 6%+ Copper Oxychloride 72% WG) on grape downy mildew.

1.3 Results
The data above reflects applications on 5/8, 5/15, 5/23 and 5/31 in 2019. Control Effectiveness was tested on 5/30 and 6/10. The test field is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. The test variety is “Chun Guang” Grape. The growth period is the flower stage. A total of 4 sprays were applied.
1.4 Conclusion
Under the conditions of this experiment, Songtone (Cyazofamid 6%+ Copper Oxychloride 72% WG) is safe for the tested grape varieties. It has a better control effect on grape downy mildew than the control agent. Therefore, Songtone can be used for the grape downy mildew disease treatment and the recommended active ingredient amount is 433-650 mg/kg.
